Need More Support?
Our intelligently designed walking accessories can be paired with the Help 'Em Up Harness to provide additional mobility assistance and extra leverage to support your pet.
Walking Handle
A single support to either the hip-lift handle or to the front shoulder strap. Allows the handle to pivot and swivel.
It can be worn comfortably for extended periods of time, but we do suggest giving your dog a break when it’s not needed. Let them sleep without it if possible. Have a dog that needs a 3am potty break? Just take it off when you come back inside.
Loosen the straps when your dog wants to lie down in it to help prevent hot spots, chafing or overheating.
When left alone, some pups may start to chew on the harness, so we suggest inspecting the harness often. Watch for signs of discomfort, hot spots, and overheating and remove immediately if your dog is bothered.
Is it possible for my dog to relieve themself wearing the dog harness?
Yes! The support straps between your dog’s hind legs are held apart by their tail, giving full clearance for defecation. Both male and female dogs can comfortably urinate with the Conventional Hip Lift without issue. For those male dogs whose penis is further back between their hind legs, we recommend the U-Band Hip Lift.
Is the harness washable?
Yes, all of our dog lifting harnesses can be machine or hand washed, but we recommend air drying (dryers tend to dry out the neoprene over time). Clean regularly with mild soap and consider using a Help ‘Em Up Wash Bag to increase longevity. We do not recommend bleach or other harsh detergents. If urine odor is an issue, soak in white vinegar and water (1:3 ratio) and wash with mild soap. There are also commercial cleaners available that can help to cut odor.
Can I use the back-end Hip Lift by itself?
No. The front half of the dog harness can be used alone but the Hip Lift (the back half) needs to connect to the front half to stay in place, otherwise it can slip off and cause an injury.
What can I do with my dog harness if I no longer need it?
Donate it! Your local vet, vet hospital, therapist, animal shelter, or adoption clinic likely has many dogs who are in need of this support.

We are so grateful to have found Help 'Em Up Harnesses!
It was honestly just sheer luck that I stumbled upon Help 'Em Up Harnesses online just days prior to our sweet pup's TPLO surgery for a torn ACL. I was so eager to get the harness that I sped through the ordering process forgetting to expedite the shipping so that we'd have the harness ready to use the day after Fletcher's surgery. I reached out via email to ask Help 'Em Up's customer service team for assistance and they immediately got back to me. They helped expedite the shipping and we received our harness and shoulder strap EXACTLY when we needed it! And it has been a LIFE SAVER!!! It's SO easy to use! And the medium harness fit our 70lb. Labradoodle PERFECTLY!!! We have been using it for 13 days straight and I don't know how we could have managed post-surgery without it. We thank you with our whole hearts for making such a quality harness that we know will last for the rest of Fletcher's sweet life. 5-Stars for both quality and customer service. Thank you SO VERY MUCH!!!

LIFESAVER after TPOS knee surgery
Our beloved Bella (30#) got stepped on by her big brother Chewbacca (60#) and tore her cruciate ligament. At 10 years old, she's still got a lot of little dog life ahead of her, so we made the tough decision to get her TPOS knee surgery.
For such an active dog with a deep love of couches and beds, being on jumping restriction for 12 weeks is a nightmare. For her human parents, it's a nightmare to carry her up and down our stairs each time she needs to go outside.
This harness and leash SAVED US during this very difficult time.
The harness is 100% worth the price. Super high quality, optimally designed to not get in the way or get dirty at potty times.
I was so worried she would hate it and think it's uncomfortable, but there are padded coverings over most of the straps.
I was also worried it would stretch or re-size as she slept and moved, but it's staying put 7 days in.

Great for entering the RV
I got this device for helping my 60 pound 14-year-old dog into and out of our RV. It is an older RV and the steps are not great. What a breeze getting him in and out now! And I used it for a quick trip to the vet in my car and it worked great for that too. The only drawback is that he was moaning and grunting when lying down in the back seat of the car with the harness on. So I need to adjust the rear part of the harness better. But otherwise, it's a great device and well worth the cost.

Four-paw drive is BACK! Sorta
Skittle ruptured his ACL & can’t get up on his own. His harness has been GREAT! So much easier (for both of us) to get him up and help him out on our rambles. Also a great way to help him down the hills (his back end gets away from him a little bit) and up the few steps into the house. Thanks for a great product and giving us back some quality of life.

So helpful
My dog had his ACL repaired. His surgeon suggested I buy this. Im so glad she did. He weighs 120 lbs. I coukd not help him get up with the harness thingy they guve you at the vets. This was a total game changer. I can help him get up easily. Getting him in the car is easier but I still need some help cause I can't lift him like that. Now as he's walking himself but weak still because his other leg needs repaired,He collapses sometimes so when he needs my help I can just use the back harness to keep him standing. I highly recommend the helpem' up harness. if you have a big dog with leg issues, Hip problems or hip displacia or just had surgery and needs a bit of help. This Totally saved my back. Its totally worth the money and yea I kniw its expensive but nothing compared to the cost of the surgery. If Your on the fence about buying it. don't be, if your looking at this you need it.
